The Stables

Project Overview

We have recently completed the final details on the project at The Stables, Whitby for the Inn Collection Group and the new spaces are now open for business.

Scope of Works

Phase 1 comprised of a full refurbishment of an existing public house and formation of 9 no. bedrooms. The works included a full strip out of the public house, full design and reinstatement of all bar fittings, stone floors, conservatory, new kitchen along with full new ME&P installation.

Phase 2 comprised of a new extension building including external landscaping. The design and build of 30 no. bedrooms, a new sunroom restaurant which provides the client with 50 additional covers. Five of the new bedrooms are incorporated into an existing Grade 2 listed building on the site.

Challenges

The second phase was logistically challenging with it being sandwiched between the existing live public house and a working farm and its’ structures. The new 30 bedrooms were built into a mix of single and double storey buildings with the external wall design giving an agricultural finish.

Outcome

The new spaces are now open for business, providing the Inn Collection Group with modern, functional, and attractive hospitality and accommodation facilities, combining refurbished heritage elements with new-build extensions.
